Stochastic field theory of viscoelastic solids: a quantitative study of phononic friction
I develop theories to understand friction of a small object on a viscoelastic solid. This involves analyzing phonon modes in the sample solid using analytic and numerical methods. I published 2 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and two more papers are either submitted or ready to be submitted.
Dynamics of microswimmers in porous media: effects of the run and tumble motion
I studied dynamics of living organisms, such as bacteria. I developed an algorithm to simulate motion of bacteria (E. coli), and investigated their collective behaviors. I published 2 papers in peer-reviewed journals: here and here.
